6082 L. Werbach & Co. Millwaukee, Wisconsin (double mis-spell)

This cobalt blue antique soda bottle was photographed by Dan Gross. Thanks, Dan. It features two spelling mistakes on one bottle. The embossing reads, "L. WERBACH & Co MILLWAUKEE WIS." The glass company is A&DHC (reverse hub). Both Milwaukee and Werrbach are misspelled (on the third letter). I have a great theory about this double error that is based on nothing but conjecture. I think that when Mr. Louis Werrbach ordered the bottles, he warned the company to be sure to print the third letter twice (so that WERRBACH would have two Rs). The company then went about and made MILWAUKEE with two Ls. There is no factual basis for my guess except that it is the third letter that is misspelled in both words. However, it does make good sense and a great story.
