J. Obermann

Private mold made by Wisconsin Glass Co. Jacob Obermann was born in Germany in 1819. He built a two-story frame brewery on the corner of Fifth and Cherry streets. The value of the property, inclusive of the real estate, was about $6,500. Of this the lot was worth $1,500. Mr. Obermann increased his business steadily, making several additions to the building, until in 1866, when a new brewery was erected.
