24 Ashland Brewing Co.

This dark brown blob beer bottle was manufactured by Ashland Brewing Company between 1901 and 1920 when prohibition unfortunately closed the brewery. The bottle is embossed in a circle around a 6-point 'Brewer's Star' with the words ASHLAND BREWING CO. ASHLAND, WI with an A in the middle of the star. The brewer's star was intended to symbolize purity and the six points of the star represented the six aspects of brewing most critical to purity: the water, the hops, the grain, the malt, the yeast, and the brewer.
