M. Hermans

This clear blob-top bottle is labelled “M. HERMANS BRILLION WIS” and still has the original metal clasp to seal the cork. Brillion was originally part of Woodville. It was later nicknamed Spring Creek and then Brandon. The name McMullenville for a little while. Some believe the name Brillion came about in 1855, when the post office arrived in the settlement. M. Hermans built his bottling company right along the river.
