Inscription on this brown blob top bottle reads “EPSTEIN BROS PORTAGE WIS.” The brewery opened in 1901 and lasted seventeen years until 1918 before finally succumbing to the growing temperance movement. Eventually (two years later), the anti-liquor forces finally achieved prohibition.
