H.L. Barkowsky, Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Glass maker of this clear blob top bottle was S.B.& G.Co. In 1895, the Central City Brewery in Stevens Point was destroyed by fire At that time, H. L. Barkowsky operated a bottling plant at 309 Main Street, just off the square. Little is known about him except that he had bottles produced which had his name on them! These clear glass bottles were manufactured by Streator Glass and Bottle Company of Streator, Illinois. They were very rare.
