Christian Sheibe Centerville WI

This brown blob-top bottle is labelled “C. SHEIBE CENTERVILLE WIS” In the early 1860s, the erection of Scheibe's brewery lent importance to the Centerville which got its name from the fact it was located midway between Manitowoc and Sheboygan. Having such a recognized business gave much-needed recognition to the town. It’s a wonder they accomplished this during the height of the Civil War.
