Walter and Co Eau Claire WI

This blob top bottle is Inscribed “J. WALTER & COMPANY EAU CLAIRE WIS.” The Walter Brewing Co. in Eau Claire was founded in 1889. Johannes Walter founded their first family brewery in Spencer, Wisconsin in 1874. That brewery was successful, but was destroyed by fire. That prompted their move to Eau Claire.
