Madison WI Hausmann Brewing Co

Inscription reads: “HAUSMANN BREWING CO. MADISON WIS.” In 1902, during the peak of his success, Mr. Hausmann died after a long illness. Afterwards, many brewery workers reported seeing the ghost of the old man bringing his drought horses to and from the barns. In 1917, alcohol sales were banned in the entire city. In the 1920s, national prohibition banned sales everywhere. The old ghost couldn’t have been pleased with it!
