W H Weber Racine WI

This is a solid and heavy blob top beer bottle with a mug base. In 1878, William H. Weber purchased the old Lake Shore Brewery, which was located at 1501 Michigan Blvd. This is the present site of the old brick band shell located near North Beach. Within a year, the brewery was producing 300 barrels of Weiss beer, an effervescent beer made from wheat. In 1882, Weber added a line of soda waters bottled under the W. H. Weber trademark.
