A Haas Brewing Co Houghton MI

Embossing on this blob top brown beer bottle reads, “A HAAS BREWING CO HOUGHTON MICH.” Adam Haas came to America in 1852. In 1859, he built Houghton’s first brewery -- a log building. The initial capacity was 500 barrels per year. He enlarged it as the growing demand grew. In 1875, he built the beautiful stone structure for the A. Haas Brewing Company with a capacity of 6,000 barrels a year.
