Inscription reads, “THIS BOTTLE IS NEVER SOLD. CREAM CITY BREW’G CO MILWAUKEE.” The reason it was so labelled is the bottle was so expensive and valuable to the brewer. The content (the beer!) was sold. The bottle had to be returned.
