Geo.Walter, Appleton, Wisconsin

This blob beer bottle is a light amber color and semi-transparent from the George Walter Brewery, aka Star Brewery. There are 5 different Breweries operating in Appleton, WI between 1870 and 1972, and it is thought this bottle comes from the one operated from 1890-1899. George purchased the Star Brewery of Appleton, Wisconsin, and changed the name to the George Walter Brewing Company. He eventually purchased a neighboring brewery on an adjacent block on Oneida St. and combined the two facilities together to form into his Appleton brewing complex. George died in 1899. The site is currently occupied by the Appleton Police Department. Adler Brau is currently being produced as a micro-brew by Appleton Brewing Company.
