The Semrad Brothers & Pusch Brewing Company started about 1864 and ran strong until 1943, when it was bought by the Blatz Company. Blatz couldn't buy copper due to the war effort. So they more for the brewing vats and copper piping than the business was worth, so the owners sold out! Smart guys!
