Kupfer, S.B. - Kenosha, Wis.

Exceptional early stoneware beer bottle from Kenosha stamped "S.B. KUPFER KENOSHA, WIS." in an oval. It appears to date from the 1860's. It is extremely rare with one known example. In this photo the stamp is highlighted with something to make it easier to read. The stamp does not have any cobalt highlighting.
