Inscription on this picnic-size (quart) blob top bottle reads “LIST PLATTEVILLE WIS. THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD.” In the early 1900s, key shaped bottle openers were sold with this advertising "ALWAYS DEMAND LIST ERL-KING BEER." The List Brewing Company lasted from 1913 until Prohibition hit in 1920.
