Mandarin Bitters - Peter Barth Milwaukee

This bottle has a unique design and is not embossed but appears to date from the 1880's or 1890's. The bottler is Peter Barth from Milwaukee and the product is called Mandarin Bitters. The neck has no lip and appears to be fire polished. A case of them was found many years ago and the bottles have been dispersed and are very hard to find today. Bottles turn up occasionally without labels. It is not known if the same style bottle was used for any other product. The labels in this photo were temporarily covered with UV filtering plastic film to protect them.
