Otto Zwietusch one gallon Copper Seltzer bottle

This Milwaukee antique seltzer bottle has to be one of the more unusual bottle forms to be recovered to date. The bottle is made of hand hammered copper with dovetail seams. This antique Milwaukee Seltzer was recovered from the Geo Ritter bottling works in Grafton. It has been retrofit to have a Ritter Seltzer top. The copper bottle would likely have been intended to withstand a higher level of pressure than a glass bottle or a rougher environment. As of right now no one is sure. The stamp is inlaid in the bottle image so it can be seen. This one just proves you never know what will turn up in antique Milwaukee and Antique Wisconsin bottles.
