Fox Lake Brewery

Inscription reads: “FOX LAKE BREWING COMPANY FOX LAKE WIS.” There has GOT to be an interesting story behind the Fox Lake Brewery. The company has had seven – count ‘em, SEVEN – corporate hiccups since its founding in 1856. Here they are: 1856 to 1870, 1870 to 1879, 1879 to 1880, 1880 to 1893, 1902 to 1912, 1912 to 1920 and from 1933 to 1937. Apparently, over time, just about everybody in town owned a piece of this brewery!
