Morton Milwaukee

Pink amethyst druggist bottle with smooth base and applied lip embossed "FROM I.N. MORTON DRUGGIST MILWAUKEE". This is a early and crude example of a bottle style that was used for many years - apparently from the 1850's or 60's through the 1890's or later. This is one of the early ones. These come in clear, aqua and amethyst and in different sizes but all have rectangular bases and narrow considerably at the shoulder. I dug one in a pit where every other bottle was pontil marked.
