A Engel and Son Fond Du Lac WI

This blob top brown beer bottle is inscribed “A ENGEL AND SON FOND DU LAC WIS.” Adolph Engel was a bottler not a brewer. He was born in Germany in 1850 and came to America to make his fortune, which he surely did. Engel was very prominent in Fond Du Lac, amassing fine wealth and a lot of property. The family name is still quite prominent locally.
